Top supermodel Thanh Hang dons Cong Tri’s creations for wedding

The supermodel donned a mermaid tail dress made from taffeta silk as she welcomed the guests arriving at the party. For her accessories, Hang chose voile veil and see-through gloves with white flower patterns embroidered on. She completed her look with a natural-tone makeup look.

She switched to another creation by Tri - a classic minimalist gown made from satin - before walking down the aisle and matched it with a voile veil with three-dimensional flower appliques.

Hang and Tri started exchanging ideas about the model’s wedding outfits months ago. A close friend of the model for almost 15 years, Tri quickly gathered Hang’s preferences for her dresses. He and his entourage then spent a month to complete two outfits for Hang.

It is reported that Hang lost weight out of anxiety before her wedding, so her dresses had to be adapted accordingly after her wedding dress fitting session on Oct. 18.

Another lace dress made by designer Tang Thanh Cong was chosen by the supermodel for her wedding reception.

Hang, 40, was born Pham Thi Thanh Hang in Da Nang. She became Miss Photo Vietnam in 2002, then began a professional modeling career. She has hosted the reality show Vietnam's Next Top Model for many years, and she also coached on the 2018 reality show The Face.

With two decades of modeling experience, she is considered one of the top supermodels in Vietnam.

In addition to modeling, Hang has also starred in several movies and TV series, including: "Nhung Co Gai Chan Dai" (Girls With Long Legs), "Tuyet Nhiet Doi" (Tropical Snow) and "Nu Hon Than Chet" (Kiss of the Death).

Her husband, conductor Tran Nhat Minh, 42, graduated with a master’s degree in Russia and is currently working at the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera.

The couple got engaged in August and completed the other wedding rituals on Oct. 22 at Hang’s private home in HCMC.

Tri, 45, established his fashion brand in 2009. His designs have been chosen by various A-list celebrities including Adele, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, Dakota Johnson, Rosé and Lisa (Black Pink), Katy Perry and Rihanna.
