South Korean woman's expletive-laden rant forces flight to make emergency landing

A LOT Polish Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Kazakhstan after a South Korean female passenger suddenly shouted obscene words midflight, causing disruption onboard.

The woman was arrested by police as the flight landed at Kazakhstan’s Astana Airport, The Korea Times reported.

The flight departing from Hungary on Tuesday was originally scheduled to arrive at Incheon International Airport around 9:30 a.m. However, it was grounded for five hours, affecting to 183 passengers onboard, The Independent newspaper reported.

Video footage by the South Korean news channel YTN showed the woman continuously screamed and cursed, prompting the crew to try to restrain her.

The reason for her outburst remains unclear.

The South Korean embassy in Kazakhstan is cooperating with local police to investigate the incident.
