According to a representative from the Vietnam Railway Transport Company, this marks the first time a luxury trans-Vietnam train tour has been operated.
The train made its first stop at Phan Thiet Station on Thursday. On Friday, it continued to Nha Trang, where passengers explored local attractions. The journey is set to conclude at Hanoi Station.
During their stop in Phan Thiet, the capital city of Binh Thuan, the tourists visited popular sites such as the Fish Sauce Museum, Cham towers Po Sah Inu, and Mui Ne beach town, according to the Binh Thuan Provincial Tourism Promotion Center.
Passengers on the tour hailed from Germany, the U.S., the U.K., and Belgium.
Tran Sy Son, CEO of PYS Travel, the train tour operator, revealed that the concept for the five-star trans-Vietnam train was developed and prepared over the past three years.
During the first phase, the train will operate three to four trips per month.
The train features five sleeper cars with 15 private rooms, each equipped with full amenities, as well as a restaurant and a kitchen carriage.
The interior design and construction were completed for over nearly two years.
"A train carrying 30 passengers is supported by a team of 28 staff to ensure personalized service," said Son.
The onboard team includes 12 well-trained railway attendants with English proficiency and 16 operating staff.
Ticket prices for the train tour in December are $7,320 per passenger but will increase to $8,610 in 2025.
Passengers enjoy luxury meals prepared by a private chef, featuring both local and international dishes. The itinerary also includes private tours tailored to guests’ preferences, offering an immersive experience of Vietnam’s tourist attractions.
