The other destinations were Japan’s Narita ($58), India’s Goa ($66), Taiwan’s Taichung ($96) and South Korea’s Busan ($113).

To compile the list, Agoda analyzed the average room rates at tourist destinations for Aug. 15-Sept. 30 based on its booking data made between June 15 and July 7 this year.

Located in the southern region of Thailand near Malaysian border, Hat Yai is famous for its beautiful landscape and Buddhist temples.

The most famous temple there is Hat Yai Nai or Wat Hat Yai Nai, home to the third-largest reclining statue on the planet.
