A fire broke out on Royal Caribbean International's Icon of the Seas, the world's biggest cruise ship, on Tuesday while it docked at Costa Maya Port, Mexico.

The "small fire" was quickly put under control and no injuries were reported, CNN reported citing a source from the ship's operator Royal Caribbean spokesperson.

However, the ship suffered power cut for about 20-60 minutes and passengers onboard were alerted about the incident.

The fire did not affect Icon of the Seas' itinerary, and the vessel is now en route to the Mexican island of Cozumel, USA Today reported.

The $2-billion Icon of the Seas made headlines when it was launched earlier this year, with its seven swimming pools.

The 365-meter-long vessel is capable of carrying up to 5,610 guests and 2,350 crew members.

According to Royal Caribbean, the vessel offers year-round Eastern or Western Caribbean adventures from Miami, with popular tourist attractions such as St. Maarten, Mexico, St. Thomas and Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, on the itinerary.

Room rates vary depending on the schedule and travel dates.
