A group of Chinese tourists were filmed pushing and fighting each other on the observation deck of a snow mountain in China to fight for the best selfie spot, prompting local police to act.

The brawl between one couple with another woman happened on the peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in China’s Yunnan Province at the height of 5,596 meters above sea level on March 24, according to The Mirror.

Video footage shared on Weibo, one of China’s largest social media platforms, showed they were seen throwing punches at each other while scrambling to get to the best selfie spot on the mountain range.

Some visitors tried to intervene but failed.

Then, security staff in the scenic spot stepped in and pulled them apart, Chinese media The Paper reported.

Police also showed up to deal with the incident.

The tourists then reconciled.

The incident has become a heated topic on Weibo where some users criticized the group of tourists.

One user said: "It's too shameful for such people."

Another commented: "They have made an appointment to compete at the Jade Dragon Peak. Don't join in the fun."
