The standout is the passenger terminal, arguably the most important of them. Construction began in 2023 at a cost of VND35 trillion (US$1.32 billion). The structure is expected to be finished by the end of this year, and completed with all other related items by August next year.

The radar system is also taking shape, with all mechanical and electronic installations completed. It comprises a primary surveillance radar and secondary surveillance radar, and meets the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

The second runway, whose construction began six months ago, is also of similar dimensions. Having two runways provides a backup in case one encounters issues, essential for a high-capacity airport.
