Bamboo Airways has announced the resumption of its regular service between HCMC and Bangkok next month after a year-long suspension.

Tickets are now available for purchase, it said in an announcement posted on its Facebook page.

From Nov. 26 there will be one daily return flight from HCMC's Tan Son Nhat to Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport, with round-trip fares starting at VND3.56 million (US$143).

Previously, the airline operated flights from HCMC to Bangkok starting in April 2022, and from Hanoi to Bangkok in March 2023. However, at that time, flights touched down at Bangkok's larger Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Bamboo Airways once operated an extensive flight network across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Europe, and Australia.

In October last year the carrier had suspended services to several destinations in Asia and Europe due to mounting debt and losses following a period of rapid expansion as well as the negative impact of the Covid pandemic and rising fuel prices.
