Dimsum Daily reported that photos and videos posted on Wednesday by Zhao’s fan-managed social media account show her enjoying a meal with friends in a setting that resembles her home.

In the footage, Zhao looks noticeably thinner and is seen without makeup, moving cautiously around the room. She also appears to be eating slowly with a spoon, which may indicate reduced dexterity in her fingers.

Despite her condition, Zhao was seen dancing in bed with her mother and close friends. She also sampled a new fruit and humorously shared her lack of enthusiasm for it.

Footage of Zhao being wheeled into a hospital became widely circulated last month. Her management team announced on Dec. 27 that she had been dealing with health issues prior to her hospitalization. Following medical advice, Zhao underwent examinations and decided to halt all work-related activities to focus on her recovery, according to her team.

A friend of Zhao’s noted on social media that since her hospitalization, the actress has been strictly following her treatment regimen. Conversations between Zhao and this friend revealed that she has been struggling with aphasia.

Furthermore, an entertainment blogger revealed that Zhao faced multiple challenges and pressures during the ongoing shooting of her film "Almost Lover." Despite her health issues, she continued to work until she collapsed and needed emergency medical care, a situation that has angered her fans.

Another friend of the actress disclosed that in 2019, Zhao experienced a distressing incident where she was forcefully taken into a bathroom by someone who criticized her for not securing a film role. This individual disparaged Zhao’s weight, skills, and appearance, unfavorably comparing her to other actresses. The confrontation escalated to physical violence, with the person striking Zhao.

Zhao, 27, started her acting career in 2017 and is well-known for her roles in popular drama series like "The Romance of Tiger and Rose," "Dating in the Kitchen," "Love Better Than Immortality," "Love Like the Galaxy," and "Hidden Love."
