The platfor, what Unitree claims as world’s first humanoid robot smartphone "AppStore," provides tools that allow users to remotely control robots through a smartphone camera and access preloaded demonstrations, including martial arts routines, dance moves, and ballet sequences.
Users can also upload, share, and download datasets and motion programs to integrate into Unitree’s humanoid robots.
The company urged users to develop and share their progress on the platform, adding that exceptional developers would receive rewards.
Unitree is known for its G1 and H1 humanoid robots, which have attracted attention for humanlike movements such as running, dancing, flipping, and boxing.
Wang Xingxing, the company’s founder and chief technology officer, said at a September event that martial arts and ballet demonstrations are part of a multi-step plan to integrate humanoid robots into daily life, the South China Morning Post reported.
Wang added that the final stage would involve humanoid robots following voice commands to perform everyday tasks, potentially as soon as next year.
