Oanh's snail restaurant (pictured), located in the heart of the street, is often packed on weekend evenings.

With a history of more than 20 years, it is the only restaurant on Vinh Khanh Street to be included in the Michelin Selected list.

Michelin highlighted the restaurant's outdoor dining experience, noting how it blends seamlessly with the vibrant atmosphere of Vinh Khanh Street.

Time Out also observed that the clanging of pans, the clinking of glasses, and impromptu street-side karaoke come together to create the street's distinctive character.

Vera Philips (R), a Belgian tourist, said she was introduced to Vinh Khanh Food Street by a local friend during her first visit to Ho Chi Minh City.

She said she was impressed by the wide variety of shellfish and seafood available. Her group ordered grilled shrimp, grilled razor clams with scallion oil, and steamed clams.

"Each dish has different preparation methods, from being stir-fried with salted egg yolk sauce and satay to grilled with garlic butter and scallion oil," Philips said, adding that the food was inexpensive relative to its quality.

She also noted the street's lively atmosphere, punctuated by traffic noise, and the spacious sidewalk seating area that is clearly separated from the road.

She said the restaurant offers a wide selection of snails and seafood, with meals costing about VND200,000 per person.

Lam said Vinh Khanh stands out for its variety of dishes, wide street frontage with ample parking, and a setting that is "much more spacious than many other food streets in Ho Chi Minh City."

In addition to snail and seafood restaurants, Vinh Khanh Street is home to numerous street food stalls serving dishes popular within the Chinese community.

A sidewalk braised offal stall (pictured) on the street opens only in the evening and draws steady crowds of passersby.

The dish, made from pig or beef offal simmered in coconut milk and spices, is typically served with bread or noodles.

The stall also offers fried items such as duck necks, chicken gizzards, and chicken eggs, with each portion priced between VND25,000 and VND30,000.

Vinh Khanh Street is also included on the routes of many motorbike food tours.

A group of around 15 tourists (pictured) recently stopped at the street to sample seafood and shellfish dishes.

According to a tour guide, foreign visitors tend to choose familiar dishes such as scallops, shrimp, oysters, and clams.

Tour operators said that although the street is often crowded, its wide roadway makes it convenient for picking up tourists.

The stop allows visitors to observe the city's nightlife and experience HCMC's vibrant street food culture.
