Since the beginning of this week the three models have been listed as out of stock by most major retailers.
One store said the delisting is part of Apple’s strategy to streamline its product lineup, by removing models that have fallen out of favor in Vietnam.
Only a few dealers still have stock, and they are offering discounts of VND200,000-500,000 (US$7-20). According to CellPhoneS, an authorized Apple distributor, the main iPhone options in the under-VND 20 million segment are now the 13, 14 and 15.
The company has increased inventories to ensure supply lasts until the end of the year, especially during the upcoming peak shopping months.

The change also makes the iPhone 13 the cheapest in Vietnam at VND 11.3-11.5 million, down VND300,000-400,000 from July. The iPhone 14 and 15 lineups have also seen prices cut by up to VND 700,000.
Viettel Store says it is focusing on two key models under VND 20 million: the 13 and 15 Plus. The latter, priced at just over VND 19 million, is favored for its large screen, strong battery and new USB-C port.
With promotions and discount vouchers during the "super sale" event on August 8, iPhones were significantly cheaper on e-commerce platforms than in physical stores.
The 128GB iPhone 15 Plus, listed at over VND 19 million, cost only VND 16.9 million. Discounts of VND 1-3 million were also available on other models.
FPT Shop reported strong sales growth in July from a year earlier, surprising given that iPhones sales typically taper off in July and August every year ahead of the launch of new models in early September.
