Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison has lost more than $100 billion in net worth in less than a month, dropping from the world's second-richest person to seventh.

The 80-year-old's net worth is now estimated at $192.4 billion, placing him behind Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, whose fortune stands at about $194.1 billion, according to Forbes.

Oracle shares rose 0.3% Monday afternoon after plunging nearly 41% since reaching an intraday high of $250 on June 1. Over the same period, Meta shares gained 2.6%.

Oracle stock fell nearly 20% last week, its steepest weekly decline since 2001, according to FactSet.

Ellison's fortune surpassed $300 billion on June 1, briefly making him the world's second-richest person behind Elon Musk, whose net worth was estimated at $976.7 billion as of Monday. Within a week, Ellison slipped to fifth place, falling behind Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, whose fortune is now valued at $251 billion.

Oracle shares had rallied ahead of the company's June 5 earnings report as analysts expected it to report more than $660 billion in backlog orders. The company posted quarterly revenue of $19.2 billion and earnings of $2.11 per share, beating analysts' expectations, while cloud infrastructure revenue jumped 93%.

Ellison co-founded Oracle, then known as Software Development Laboratories, in 1977 with Bob Miner and Ed Oates. He stepped down as chief executive in 2014 after leading the company for 37 years and now serves as chairman and chief technology officer.

Forbes first listed Ellison as a billionaire in 1993, when he was 49. According to Bloomberg, a surge in Oracle shares on Sept. 10, 2025, briefly made him the world's richest person for several hours, with an estimated net worth of $383.2 billion.

Ellison has also borrowed heavily against his Oracle stake to finance a lavish lifestyle that includes superyachts, ownership of about 98% of Hawaii's Lanai island, and investments in his son's Hollywood ventures, according to The Wall Street Journal.
