Google has launched its premium AI subscription, AI Ultra, in Vietnam for VND6 million (US$230) per month, featuring the company's most powerful tools.

The service is part of an expanded rollout to 76 countries, announced on July 11, the company said.

Vietnamese users can enjoy a 50% discount during the first month.

AI Ultra is Google's top-tier package for individual users, offering access to its most advanced AI tools.

This is in addition to the AI Pro plan, priced at VND490,000 per month.

The package includes 30 TB of storage for emails and Drive, access to the Gemini chatbot with high-end features like the 2.5 Pro Deep Think model, and the ability to generate videos with the Veo 3 tool.

Users also receive 12,500 AI credits for video creation, a key part of the package's launch in Vietnam, according to Google.

At this price, AI Ultra is more expensive than OpenAI’s ChatGPT Pro subscription, which costs VND5 million a month, but is cheaper than the VND7.8 million SuperGrok Heavy plan.

Google is also rolling out additional video creation features.

Following the launch of Veo 3 for AI-generated videos last week, the company introduced Flow, a tool allowing users to incorporate custom images as opening frames for videos.

Users can now add sound effects, background noise, and dialogue to their videos, as well as create videos from still images.

The U.S. tech giant did not mention the rollout of Whisk, another powerful AI video creation tool, during the announcement.

It added that to ensure a positive user experience, the company will implement measures such as deliberate testing to identify and address potential issues. It also confirmed it will continue to update and enforce policies to prevent the generation of harmful or inappropriate content.

All videos created through the platform will feature visible watermarks and hidden digital markers known as SynthID.
