'Guardians of the Galaxy' star dons dress by Vietnamese designer Cong Tri

Scottish actress Karen Gillan wore a cutout dress made by Vietnamese designer Cong Tri to the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” film premiere in the United States.

On Sunday, Gillan, 36, uploaded photos of herself in a black cutout dress taken on her way to the premiere in Florida, onr social media.

The cutout dress, made from faille silk and accompanied by long ton-sur-ton gloves, was part of the Spring/Summer 2023 collection by Cong Tri. Gillan matched the dress with a nude makeup look and silver earrings.

The actress' entourage reportedly contacted Cong Tri weeks ago to discuss her outfit for the premiere.

Cong Tri said Gillan was satisfied with the dress he prepared, as the design was tailored to her measurements and gave her a comfortable feeling.

Gillan rose to stardom with her role Amy Ponds in the BBC series "Doctor Who."

In 2014, she starred in "Guardians of the Galaxy" as Nebula, Thanos' adopted daughter. To prepare for the role, she shaved her head and reportedly spent three hours in the makeup chair every morning.

Cong Tri was born in 1978 in Da Nang, Vietnam. His fashion brand, which was established in 2009, has been chosen by various A-list celebrities including Adele, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, Dakota Johnson, Rosé (Black Pink), Katy Perry and Rihanna.

His Spring/Summer 2023 collection was featured in the American edition of Vogue magazine.
