World-renowned fashion magazine Vogue has featured the Spring 2023 collection of Vietnamese designer Cong Tri, inspired by desert flowers.

The photoshoot for the collection took place at Acido Dorado, an iconic work of architecture by Robert Stone. The golden house in the middle of the Joshua Tree desert in California has been used in many ad campaigns by famous designers like Roberto Cavalli, Dior and Saint Laurent.

The collection took inspiration from desert flowers, blending perfectly with the Acido Dorado landscape. Cong Tri believes these resilient flowers best represent his strong, luxurious, modern, brilliant and different approach to design.

"The desert is a place where nobody wants to live but I always think of life there. It’s so beautiful, hopeful, extraordinary and moving," Cong Tri said.

A total 46 looks focus on outfits for special occasions that exude feminity with bare shoulder gowns and dresses, featuring generous cutouts at the waist and deep cuts at the chest. Croptops, column skirts and straight pants all represent his masterful craftsmanship through exclusive embroidery on organza silk.

Asymmetry, a trend that has been rocking the fashion world for the past eight years, was also included in the collection. Cong Tri’s designs showcase meticulousness and sophistication in every cut and line, whether it’s a bra top, bodysuit or blazer.

The color palette for this collection comprises black, white, pink, orange, red, teal and purple.

Cong Tri, 44, is a member of Asian Fashion Association. He has created dresses for many A-list celebrities like Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, former U.S. first lady Michelle Obama, Rose (BLACKPINK), and Rebecca Ferguson.
