Sebastian Moll McCarthy, a German national and frequent visitor to the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor, Spain, was found guilty of stalking Maribel after a trial on Sept. 21 in Majorca. McCarthy admitted to sending harassing messages and threatening her after obtaining her phone number, including a chilling comment about wanting to "taste her blood," Daily Express reported.
Court documents revealed a series of text messages in which McCarthy asked Maribel out and reacted negatively when rejected. The five-page verdict found him guilty of harassment, restricting Maribel's personal freedom and making her feel unsafe, Express reported.

Maribel had to hire a bodyguard for both work and home, and her mental health was seriously affected due to the fear of sexual assault.
Notably, McCarthy appeared frequently at the Nadal Academy, claiming to be an athlete training there.
The prosecutor initially requested a six-month prison sentence and a three-year restraining order. However, the court handed McCarthy a four-month suspended sentence, citing his cooperation with authorities and lack of prior offenses in Spain. He will face prison if he re-offends and is banned from contacting or approaching Maribel within 300 m.
Maribel serves as deputy executive director of the Rafal Nadal Academy, which opened in 2016 as the flagship facility in Nadal's academy network.
According to Irish Mirror, the 22-time Grand Slam winner has frequently described his sister as one of the most important women in his life, alongside his mother Ana Maria and his wife Mery Perello.
