As the first Thai woman to win the Miss World crown, her selection to lead the delegation, a role traditionally reserved for elite athletes, signaled Thailand's intent to showcase its cultural identity and soft power alongside its sporting prowess.

According to TNN Thailand, Suchata's appearance was symbolic of Thai youth on the international stage.
Opal wore a stunning, elaborately decorated ensemble named "Siam Arun," designed by fashion house Vanus Couture. The outfit featured a predominantly yellow silk gown embroidered with intricate floral patterns, paired with a regal cloak that blended traditional Thai aesthetics with royal style.
The look was completed with a set of accessories including a necklace, earrings, bracelet, belt and hairpin, all crafted from real gold and gems. Sources estimate the total value of the outfit at 30 million baht (US$860,000).
Suchata's participation had been highly anticipated after Miss World confirmed her selection for SEA Games days prior. On her Instagram, she expressed her honor and shared multiple posts promoting the Games held in her homeland.
Suchata claimed the 72nd Miss World title in May 2025 in India, besting 107 other contestants. Her victory was widely celebrated for her outstanding stage presence and communication skills.
Prior to her historic win, she represented Thailand at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico in November 2024, where she finished as the 3rd runner-up.
Suchata is a law student majoring in International Relations at Thammasat University and is fluent in both English and Chinese.
