Sanest Khanh Hoa claimed the men's Volleyball Vietnam League (VVL) title while LienVietPostBank won the women’s league Sunday.

After defeating Bien Phong, the dark horses of the league this year, Khanh Hoa entered the final against title-defenders HCMC, who beat them a year prior.

Crowned champions in 2018 and 2019, HCMC have missed the chance to claim a hat-trick this year.

On-form Khanh Hoa entered the game with no pressure to comfortably cruise past HCMC with a score of 3-1. This title means a lot to Khanh Hoa since they got to claim it on their home turf.

Female title-defenders LienVietPostBank lifted the trophy for the second consecutive year after beating Hoa Chat Duc Giang 3-1 in an intense final in Dak Lak Province.

Hoa Chat Duc Giang proved a surprise in this year's league with victories against strong teams like VTV Binh Dien Long An and VietinBank, with this being their first appearance in the women's league final.

For LienVietPostBank, the title added more joy as the club turned 50 this year. This is their 11th title overall since the birth of VVL.

Both VVL finals have concluded a special year for Vietnamese volleyball. With many competitions canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Volleyball Federation of Vietnam (VFV) did their utmost to see the season complete.
