In the last friendly to prepare for Futsal World Cup 2021 on Monday, Vietnam lost 1-2 to Morocco.

On FIFA futsal rankings, Vietnam are 42nd while Morocco are 19th. The futsal champions of Africa entered the game with great power and attacked constantly, evidenced by two early goals in the first seven minutes.

Vietnam slowly got their game back after the coach made several changes to the squad. In the 15th minute, they found the net.

Despite playing with great effort, Vietnam couldn't score more and the game ended with a win for Morocco.

After this game, Vietnam named their official squad for Futsal World Cup 2021, with 16 players and one backup.

Futsal World Cup 2021 will take place from Sept. 12 to Oct. 3 in Lithuania with 24 teams. This is Vietnam’s second time at a Futsal World Cup event, after the first in 2016.

The team will compete in group D with Brazil, the Czech Republic and Panama. Vietnam will start the group stage with a game against Brazil on Sept. 13, followed by one with Panama on the 16th, and the Czech Republic three days later.
