Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) has decided to end their contract with Suleiman Abdullahl early after mutual agreement.

Abdullahl, usually known as Nguyen Trung Dai Duong in Vietnam, agreed to leave HAGL and find another club after he didn't get enough playtime.

He was used regularly by HAGL coach Kiatisuk Senamuang at the beginning of V. League 2021. Although he didn't play as he used to, at 35, he still made a certain contribution to the HAGL formation.

However, when younger players started to shine and formed a solid starting line at the club, Duong was sidelined. Both sides subsequently reached an agreement to terminate his contract so he could find a new club before the league returns.

Duong has been playing in V. League since 2008 for many clubs. In 2016, he obtained Vietnamese citizenship and adopted the name Nguyen Trung Dai Duong.

V. League 2021 has been postponed since May due to the ongoing wave of Covid-19 in the country. It is scheduled to resume in February 2022. HAGL are topping the table with 29 points after 12 rounds.
