A woman in Lam Dong Province in the Central Highlands was fined VND2.5 million ($105) for insulting a female street cleaner, and belittling her job and her family.

The 33-year-old woman, who lives in Loc Phat Ward, was fined by Bao Loc City police on Wednesday for insulting others.

She was also forced to publicly apologize to the street cleaner, an employee of the Bao Loc City Urban Projects company.

In a 4-minute video that circulated online, the worker was cleaning up trash in front of the woman’s house. Because the worker could not carry the trash bin as it was too big, the woman berated and insulted her.

The worker softly replied to the woman’s insults.

The video garnered millions of views, with most comments showing anger at the woman’s attitude.
