Truck with 400 crocodiles found near Cambodia border

The police of Dong Thap have launched an investigation into violations against regulations on management and protection of endangered, rare animals.

The truck, driven by 37-year-old Nguyen Van Luan on Jan. 24, had 391 crocodiles on board. Luan said he bought the crocodiles from Cambodia and was about to sell them.

The crocodiles have been brought to a local farm to be taken care of, awaiting further procedures.

Some of the crocodiles were already dead when the truck was discovered.
