Man killed after police car rear-ends motorcycle

A man died on Thursday in the central Quang Nam Province after a traffic police patrol car accidentally collided with his motorbike.

Officers were on routine patrol on National Highway 14B in Dai Loc District Thursday afternoon when their car rear-ended the motorbike driven by 20-year-old local, B'Ríu V.

The man was injured and taken to Da Nang General Hospital in the neighboring namesake city, but he died later that day.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident.

They said when the collision happened it was raining and the street was wet and slippery.
