The 16-seat bus carrying students was going to turn left at an intersection to enter Vang Street when the door on the seat next to the driver swung open, camera footage revealed. A child could be seen hanging onto the door as they went down onto the road.
There was another child on the bus at the time.
No accident or casualties occurred during the incident.
Vietnam currently has no regulation banning children from sitting in cars' front seats. But those who do not wear seatbelts in a running vehicle may be fined VND300,000-500,000 (US$12.42-20.70), while drivers can be fined VND800,000-1 million.
