Ho Chi Minh City has more than 20 international schools that teach foreign programs that are mainly adopted in England, America, Canada, and Australia.
By this week, 10 of them have announced tuition for the 2024-2025 school year, and most are higher compared to the previous year.
At Renaissance International School Saigon, preschool tuition stays at VND189-380 million, an increase of VND10-19 million. The fees stay at VND491-586 million for primary school and VND656 million for middle school, which means an increase by around VND30 million compared to the previous year for each school level.
Pennsylvania American International School also announced an increase of VND30 million at each level, bringing tuition fees for primary school to a maximum of VND326 million and for secondary school to VND399 million.
Similarly, EMASI International Bilingual Schools raised its tuition by VND4-20 million while those at Wellspring Bilingual School increased it by VND13 million on average.
International Schools of North America, Canadian International School Vietnam and American International School Vietnam have announced plans to keep their tuitions unchanged from last year.
According to the plans announced by the schools to date, Canadian International School Vietnam has the highest tuition fee at VND799-824 million.
Depending on each school, extra fees may be incurred for textbooks, stationery, uniforms, and extracurricular activities, which can cost up to an additional VND40 million per year.
The city currently has more than 2,350 schools, of which about 1,350 are public schools, with tuition staying at VND900,000-2.7 million per year.
Last year, tuition fees for non-public schools, including foreign-invested schools, ranged from VND20 million to more than VND900 million.
Among them, the highest level was the International School Ho Chi Minh City, applicable for grades 11 and 12.
