Korean wanted by Interpol on illegal gambling charges arrested in HCMC

Ho Chi Minh City police have arrested a South Korean man who is member of an illegal gambling organization and was on the run in the city.

Kim Jeehoon, 35, was arrested Thursday for "organizing gambling," as per a warrant by Interpol.

According to Interpol, Kim is a website administrator of a large online gambling organization in South Korea.

Over the past three years, the ring has organized for many people to gamble and receive deposits on the website 7slot.com, which is not licensed by the South Korean government.

South Korean police took down the ring in mid-December, but Kim fled to Ho Chi Minh City.

The city’s police are completing procedures to hand him over to South Korea.
