With the goal of training and developing volleyball in Vinh Phuc, Bamboo Airways will be responsible for all operating costs for the team, representatives said.

Bamboo Airways will ensure funds to build facilities, equipment for training and competition, daily activities, and remuneration for coaches and athletes... which will surpass the average level for women's volleyball teams in other provinces and sectors.

The airline will support funding for training, competitions nationally and internationally.

Bamboo Airways will also cooperate with the Vinh Phuc Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the enhancement of exchanges and cooperation between parties; promoting the potential and strengths of agencies, units and localities in the development of sport; training highly qualified athletes for local and national teams.

In addition, Bamboo Airways will coordinate with the department to organize events to introduce and promote the image of each party at annual sporting, cultural and tourist events.

From 2021, the team will participate in National A League, striving for early promotion. From 2022, the team will compete in national and international tournaments, including National Championship, with the target of entering the Vietnam top 8.

From 2023 to 2030, the plan is to successfully train three athlete lines for the selected team, junior team and gifted team to participate in top national, international and national junior tournaments.

In Vinh Phuc, the local women's volleyball team was established in Oct 2007. After nearly 14 years, the team's coaching board includes four coaches, three athlete lines with 20 players.

Since 2015, Vinh Phuc women's volleyball team has been promoted to the top national level. However, the lack of budget lead to limitations in the compensation of the training board and athletes, advancement of equipment, recruiting and selecting quality human resources.

"Together with the effective operation of FLC Vinh Phuc resort complex of FLC Group in the province, the signing and introduction event of the Bamboo Airways women's volleyball team clearly demonstrates the motto of investing in sustainable development, focusing on activities contributing to society and to the destinations of FLC Group and Bamboo Airways," the Bamboo Airways CEO said.

In 2020, Bamboo Airways has transported nearly four million passengers with an absolute safety rate, exceeding approximately 40 percent of flights operated and passenger capacity compared to 2019.

The airline has maintained the highest on-time performance of the entire Vietnam aviation industry throughout 2019 and 2020. Bamboo Airways is voted by national and foreign media as a leading regional airline in Asia and the airline with the best service in Vietnam.
