The robbery took place around 5:25 p.m. on Saturday, when the store was crowded with customers.
As recorded by the surveillance camera, the female robber, in a hat and a mask, held an open bag in front of her. She broke the glass cabinets with a hammer after entering the shop, took the jewelry out, and put them into her bag.
The other robber held a gun, threatened the staff, then moved to the store’s front door to watch out.
Two of the staff kneeled down as they were threatened by the robbers, while others ran into the back of the store.
They escaped with a motorbike within a minute after entering the store.
The store owner estimated that the robbers escaped with jewelry worth around VND700-800 million (US$29,000-$33,000).
Cam Ranh Police are investigating the case.
