This year's Pacific Partnership, an annual multinational mission for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness, would see personnel from the U.S., Vietnam, the U.K., Australia and Japan participating.
The mission enables participants to work together to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region and foster friendships in the Indo-Pacific, the consulate said in a statement.
An opening ceremony will be held next Monday evening, with musicians from Vietnam, the U.S., Australia and Japan performing. Certain concerts will be free and open to the public.
The closing ceremony will take place in the afternoon of July 3 on board the hospital ship USNS Mercy, which is also the PP22's mission platform.
