Saigon Jewelry Company gold bar price went up 0.42% to VND82.5 million ($3,348.22) per tael Tuesday morning, securing another new peak.

Gold ring price rose 0.21% to VND70.25 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Globally gold prices slipped from near record-high levels on Tuesday, as traders braced for key U.S. inflation report that could give more clarity on when the Federal Reserve might start cutting its interest rates, Reuters reported.

Spot gold fell 0.2% to $2,178.53 per ounce after rising for nine consecutive sessions. Bullion hit a record peak of $2,194.99 on Friday.

U.S. gold futures also dipped 0.2% to $2,185.00.
