Gold prices rise

Saigon Jewelry Company gold bar price gained 0.39% to VND76.25 million ($3,104.64) per tael Tuesday morning, a minor increase after dropping to a 10-day low Monday.

Gold ring price dropped 0.08% to VND63.95 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Globally gold price stayed in the range-bound theme near $2,021, up 0.03% for the day, ahead of the Bank of Japan meeting, according financial data platform FXStreet.

The U.S. dollar Index fluctuated slightly around the level of 103.32. The yield on the U.S. Treasury bonds was maintaining its recent increases, with the yield for the 10-year bond at 4.10%.

U.S. Federal Reserve officials have indicated that they were in no hurry to cut rates, even if the hikes were probably done.
