Customs selling over 2,500 used iPhones at $30.5 each

The buyer needs to purchase the whole batch and pay for transportation, it said.

The phones were seized in cases of administrative violations and put on sale by the anti-smuggling unit of the customs department.

Another batch consisting of 2,360 used Apple, Oppo and Honor phones is being sold for VND1.36 billion, which works out to around VND600,000 each.

Authorities will hold a lucky draw next Thursday to select a buyer if there is more than one bid.

The buyers will be responsible for completing the legal requirements for selling the phones on the market.
