The dress, inspired by cherry blossoms, was worn by Liu at an award ceremony for Chinese TV dramas, according to Sohu.
Liu’s ensemble was complemented by a makeup look that evoked the colors of flower petals, sparking widespread attention on Weibo. The actress was widely referred to as a "spring fairy" by thousands of social media users.
During the ceremony, Liu shared that she is currently reviewing scripts but has no immediate plans for new film projects. Her latest project, the 2024 drama series "The Tale of Rose," received critical acclaim.
Known for her high commercial value, the actress remains in high demand for advertisements and serves as the ambassador for numerous brands both in China and abroad.
At 38, Liu moved to the U.S. at age 10 after her parents’ divorce, later becoming a U.S. citizen. She then returned to China to pursue her entertainment career and rose to fame with her role in the 2003 TV series "The Story of a Noble Family." Since then, she has made a significant impact on both Chinese and Hollywood cinemas.
In 2009, she was named one of China’s "New Four Dan Actresses," a title reserved for the four most bankable actresses in the country.
