The Hindustan Times reported that one of the wedding guests, Dana Wang, shared a video on her Instagram account detailing her experience at the event.
In the video, Wang noted that in addition to the luxurious accommodations and transportation, the couple also covered all travel expenses for guests coming from abroad, a rarity since guests usually handle their own travel arrangements.
The wedding itself was an opulent affair, held at a venue decked with extravagant chandeliers and intricate floral decorations, evoking a European ambiance, as described by Wang.
At the venue, there were extra red envelopes available on each table for anyone wishing to take more. This was in addition to the sumptuous gift packages given to all attendees, a generous approach inverted the traditional Chinese custom where guests typically present red envelopes with money to the newlyweds.
Wang’s video has captivated viewers, accumulating over 7.1 million views and eliciting thousands of comments.
"Not having your guests pay to travel to your wedding is pure class," one user commented.
"I’m ready to be invited," said another.
