Rosé, a member of the South Korean girl band Blackpink, wears Tri’s creation in her second solo video titled "Gone."
The skirt was part of the Vietnamese designer’s Summer-Spring 2020 collection, introduced at New York Fashion Week in September 2019.
On that catwalk, the dress was worn by Victoria’s Secret Angel Elsa Hosk, vedette of the show.
Last month, Rosé chose to wear a bodysuit and veil by Cong Tri for her debut music video "On The Ground."
Tri said the singer’s team had contacted him in January to ask about the outfit for her first solo MV.

Rosé is the latest celebrity client in Tri’s list. Several international stars have chosen outfits made by the Vietnamese designer, including singer Miley Cyrus, who performed her latest single in a Cong Tri sequined one-shoulder dress in "The Tonight Show" by Jimmy Fallon; singer Demi Lovato, who wore a customized fuchsia dress for her photoshoots; and actress Erin Moriarty, who donned a golden yellow taffeta mini dress with intricate wavy ruffles at the 2020 Creative Arts Emmy.
Miley and Erin’s dresses were named among the top 10 outfits of the week by U.S. fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar.
After the 2019 New York Fashion Week, Tri’s global popularity has risen, with stars such as singer Lizzo, Kelly Rowland, actress Sandra Oh, and Margot Robbie choosing to wear his creations at high profile events.
Rosé, born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, signed up with South Korean label YG Entertainment following an audition in 2012.
She made her debut as a vocalist with Blackpink in 2016 and made her solo debut with the single album ‘R’.
