The couple was seen at various Tokyo locales, including Narita International Airport and the TeamLab Borderless digital art museum, with their moments captured and shared on Facebook and TikTok.

In a video from Narita Airport, both Nhi and Hoang dressed in dark casual attire. Nhi was mask-free and smiled broadly upon noticing the camera, while Hoang occasionally spoke to his fiancée, marking their first public outing since announcing their engagement.

Nhi, 23, competed in the 2023 Miss International contest, securing a top 15 spot.

Her fiancé, 25-year-old Hoang, leads an automobile company. His father Pham Nhat Vuong is recognized by Forbes as Vietnam’s richest man, with a net worth of US$4.1 billion as of Feb. 13.

The couple’s engagement ceremony was held on Jan. 15 in Nhi’s native Thanh Hoa City, attended under stringent security measures including a team of bodyguards. They have maintained a low profile, and their journey to Japan was their first public appearance together since then.

Reports suggest that Nhi and Hoang have been acquainted for many years.
