Multiple film and TV projects connected to best-selling English author Neil Gaiman, known for comic book series "The Sandman" have been suspended or canceled in light of sexual assault accusations against him.

According to The New York Times, a Disney insider confirmed that these accusations influenced the decision to pause the production of "The Graveyard Book", an adaptation of Gaiman’s young-adult novel.

Additionally, Netflix canceled the series "Dead Boy Detectives", based on one of Gaiman’s comic books, though no reason was provided. However, Netflix confirmed that "The Sandman" series, which has been airing since 2022, remains unaffected.

Amazon Prime Video also paused production on Good Omens, with reports from Page Six suggesting that Gaiman offered to step back from the project to ensure it could continue.

The allegations first came to light in July through the podcast "Master: The Allegations Against Neil Gaiman", where five women accused him of inappropriate behavior, including groping, kissing, and sexual assault.

Claire, one of the women, was the only one who spoke to The New York Times, recounting an incident during a 2013 book tour where she alleged Gaiman groped and kissed her without consent. She further revealed that Gaiman later paid her $60,000, which she described as "hush money."

Gaiman has denied the accusations, insisting that all interactions were consensual. Despite the disruptions to his projects, no legal actions or police investigations have been reported.

Gaiman, 63, is widely celebrated for his literary works, including "The Sandman" and "Coraline". He was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2023.
