According to Sinchew, the June 24 event marks her first public appearance since the rumors began. Dressed in a red outfit, she received compliments on her looks.

Speculation about her marital status with Chen Xiao intensified this month, as observers noted that Chen Xiao hadn’t worn his wedding ring for several months, had decreased his social media interactions with Michelle, and was seldom seen with her publicly. To date, neither Michelle nor Chen Xiao has commented on these rumors.

This isn’t the first time the couple has faced rumors of a breakup. Previously, it was rumored that Chen Xiao had an affair with Chinese actress Jelly Lin, leading Michelle to reportedly consider a divorce, though they never addressed these claims.

In an interview in 2023, Chen Xiao mentioned that he generally ignores such rumors, finding them "dull."

Michelle, 41, is famed for her role in the 2011 coming-of-age romance movie "You Are The Apple of My Eye." She also appeared in the second season of the popular Chinese TV show "Sisters Who Make Waves" in 2021.

Chen Xiao, 37, has gained popularity through his roles in the TV series "Palace 3: The Lost Daughter," "Swordsman," and "Nothing Gold Can Stay." He also starred in the 2022 TV drama "A Dream Of Splendor" alongside actress Liu Yifei.

The duo first met during the filming of "The Romance of the Condor Heroes." Chen Xiao later shared that he had developed a secret crush on her during the series and pursued her afterward.

He proposed in 2015 by commissioning a statue resembling her character, which he presented on a yacht decorated with roses. The couple married in Beijing in 2016 and have an eight-year-old son named Chen Muchen, affectionately called "Little Star."

Since going public with their relationship, they have faced criticism from fans who believe Michelle is not a suitable match for Chen Xiao, labeling her his "wrong choice."
