A few days ago, Wu posted pictures on social media celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, where she wore an oversized white shirt and denim shorts, which hid her midsection. This led many fans to speculate if she is pregnant, with some suggesting she might be around five months along.
Earlier, a video of Wu distributing mooncakes also raised suspicion, as some viewers commented that her walk resembled that of a pregnant woman. Fans further noted changes in her selfies, claiming her nose appeared larger, often considered a pregnancy sign.
According to Sinchew, Wu confirmed her marriage to fellow actor Hong Yao on Sept. 13. The two had secretly dated for nearly seven years after co-starring in "Story of Yanxi Palace."
However, their marriage has faced backlash, with critics questioning her decision due to Hong Yao's lower profile and past allegations of infidelity. Wu's recent posts have been flooded with comments urging her to divorce, accusing her of "choosing the wrong person."
Wu has yet to address these comments, but her manager, Yu Zheng, offered support, stating, "Focus on your acting and live well. Life is what truly matters. There are many major roles ahead for you. Enjoy the peaceful life you have now."
Wu, 34, and Hong, 32, rose to fame through their roles in the popular period drama "Story of Yanxi Palace" (2017). Set during the Qing dynasty, Wu played the lead role of Wei Yingluo, a palace maid who becomes the emperor’s most beloved and powerful concubine, while Hong portrayed Prince He, or Hongzhou, the emperor’s younger brother.
