The new route, which operates with a frequency of seven flights per week, will help raise the total number of flights between Vietnam's central city of Da Nang and Malaysia's capital of Kuala Lumpur to 28 per week.
Tan Van Vuong, deputy director of the municipal Department of Tourism, said Malaysia always ranks in the top 10 sources of international travelers to Da Nang.
Last month, Da Nang's leaders paid a working trip to Malaysia and met with Malaysia Airlines to promote the central city's tourism and the Kula Lumpur-Da Nang route, he noted.
Vuong went on to say that the city's tourism industry will continue to coordinate with Malaysia Airlines to organize Famtrip, Presstrip, and KOLs delegations to experience Da Nang tourism and support communication activities to promote Vietnam's central city to Malaysian tourists.
With its extensive flight network across Asia, Europe, and Oceania, covering nearly 1,000 destinations in over 170 countries and territories, Malaysia Airlines is expected to serve as a bridge to help Da Nang expand its tourism market to attractive destinations worldwide.
