Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, issued an official statement announcing plans to take legal action against Hoverlab for disseminating false information regarding the actor and the late Kim Sae-ron.
"The claims made about Kim Soo Hyun on YouTube today are completely false," the agency said. "We are reviewing the strongest possible legal action."
Pinkvilla reported that the YouTube channel GaroSaero Research released an interview video on Monday featuring a woman who claimed to be the aunt of South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron. In the video, she alleged that Kim Sae Ron began dating actor Kim Soo Hyun at the age of 15 and that their relationship lasted for six years.
Gold Medalist also expressed condolences over Kim Sae Ron’s recent passing, as reported by Channel News Asia Lifestyle. "We are deeply heartbroken by the news of the late Kim Sae Ron’s death, as she was once part of our company, and we mourn her passing."
Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were both previously signed under Gold Medalist. The actress was managed by the agency from 2020 to 2022, before her contract was terminated after her 2022 DUI incident.
Last year, Kim Sae Ron shared a photo of herself with Kim Soo Hyun on social media but later deleted it.

Kim Sae Ron was found deceased at her home in Seoul on Feb. 16 by a friend, with no signs of foul play. Her funeral was held on Feb. 19.
The actress was known for making history as the youngest South Korean artist to attend the Cannes Film Festival for her debut role in the 2009 movie "A Brand New Life." She was also the youngest actress to be nominated for Best Actress at the prestigious Baeksang Awards in South Korea.
However, her career declined after her drunk driving incident, which caused her to lose film projects and endorsement deals.
Kim Soo Hyun, 37, made his television debut in 2007 and became a major figure in South Korea with successful series such as "Dream High," "The Moon Embracing the Sun," "My Love from the Star," "It’s Okay to Not Be Okay," and "Queen of Tears."
Having started his acting career in his school years, he now stands as one of the top-earning actors in South Korea, consistently commanding the highest average pay per episode, according to local media.
In addition to his acting career, Kim Soo Hyun also earns significant income through endorsement deals with prominent brands.
