Wong, who usually keeps a low profile, is rarely seen in public with Li Yan, her daughter with former husband, Chinese actor Li Yapeng, 53. Netizens have extensively discussed Li Yan's striking resemblance to her famous mother and noted her transformation from earlier childhood photos.

Li Yan has been in the public eye since infancy, having undergone cleft palate surgeries in the United States shortly after her birth in May 2006. To shield her from media attention, Wong enrolled her in Collège Alpin International Beau Soleil, a private school in Ollon, Switzerland, in 2019, according to Epoch Times.

Despite Wong's generally private nature, her interactions with Li Yan occasionally make headlines. For example, earlier this year, they were spotted together at Beijing Capital International Airport. Fans took note of Li Yan's impressive height, which nearly matches her mother's 1.74m stature.

Wong moved from Beijing to Hong Kong when she was 18 and rose to prominence in the early 1990s with her Cantonese songs. Her international reputation grew with her appearances in movies directed by Wong Kar-wai, especially "Chungking Express" and "2046."

The singer has been married twice. Her first marriage was to Chinese musician Dou Wei, 55, in 1996, but they parted ways three years later. Her second marriage was to Chinese actor Li Yapeng in 2005, ending in divorce in 2013.
