On Sept. 17, Jin posted the photo on Weibo, showing the family celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival together. She captioned it: "Wishing you all a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival and a happy family."
In the picture, Jin and Yu are seated apart, with their children between them, further fueling speculation of a divorce. Some netizens speculated that while the couple may no longer be romantically involved, they continue to co-parent their children. Comments on Weibo included: "Even without love, they are still parents to their children," and, "It's rare to see an artist handling things so well."
Last month, Chinese media reported that Jin and Yu had quietly divorced in 2021 to protect their children, according to Sohu. When asked about the rumors, Yu responded, "I only discuss private matters with my parents," while Jin has remained silent.
Yu has been the subject of various rumors in the past, but Jin has consistently countered them by sharing family photos.
In addition to the divorce rumors, some netizens commented on Jin's appearance, speculating that she may have had cosmetic surgery. Some Weibo users noted that her face appeared significantly different, with one remarking: "Her appearance has changed dramatically."
Jin, 49, is best known for her role as the Peacock Princess in the 1986 series "Journey to the West" and recently appeared in the reality show "Sisters Who Make Waves 2" in 2021.
Yu, 53, is a prominent figure in China's film industry with over 20 years of experience. His company, Bona Film Group, was listed on NASDAQ in 2010 and currently has a market value of US$5.43 billion.
Yu was previously married to Zang Lilu, with whom he has two children, before their divorce in 2010. Jin was in a relationship with Hong Kong actor Lawrence Ng before marrying Yu in 2011. The couple has a daughter, born in 2013, and a son, born in 2017.
