Dimsum Daily reported that during a press conference at MacPherson Stadium on Wednesday, Lee discussed his upcoming concert and addressed his personal life.
Lee acknowledged that dealing with Wong’s situation has been difficult as he prepares for his concert. He also revealed that many women have shown interest in becoming his new girlfriend since Wong’s incarceration.
Despite these advances, he reiterated his dedication to Wong, expressing his commitment to support her through this difficult time.
ST Headline also noted that Lee had previously vowed to marry Wong upon her release from prison. Lee and Wong, who met when he was 66, had initially planned to marry by the end of last year but postponed their wedding due to the death of Wong’s father.
Last month, Wong was sentenced to 25 months in prison for five offenses, including using forged documents, providing false information to enter Hong Kong, and overstaying her tourist visa. She pled guilty and accepted her sentence during the court proceedings.
Originally from mainland China, she was arrested in February for exceeding the duration of her tourist visa in Hong Kong. Her first trial was on May 28, where she faced charges of using fake U.S. aviation college graduation certificates to fraudulently apply under the Immigration Department’s Mainland Talents and Professionals Scheme in Hong Kong.
In addition to his famed roles in "The Condor Heroes," Lee’s acting career includes performances in "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer," "Journey to the West," and "Forensic Heroes." He has three children from a marriage in the 1970s, all of whom are older than Wong.
