Filipino band Moonstar88 offers free performance at Olympic champion Carlos Yulo’s future wedding

According to Phil Star, the band announced its offer on their Facebook page, sharing an art card that stated: "We’ve got the music covered for your wedding, Caloy!"

It also added in the comment section of the post: "Hey, no pressure, Caloy! Even if it takes until 2088."

"Caloy" is a common nickname for Carlos in the Philippines.

Carlos Yulo, at 24, is heralded as the most successful Filipino gymnast in history, according to Forbes. He is the second Filipino to win a gold medal and the first to win multiple golds at the Olympics.

For his achievements, Carlos is slated to receive multiple accolades from the Philippine government, including a three-bedroom condominium valued at 32 million pesos (approximately US$558,000) located in Manila’s McKinley Hill, as reported by Fortune magazine.

Currently, Carlos is in a relationship with 22-year-old content creator Chloe San Jose, who was born in the Philippines and raised in Australia, the Daily Mail noted. Their relationship began when San Jose messaged Carlos on X, formerly known as Twitter, in April 2020.

Despite the disapproval from Carlos’ mother Angelica Poquiz Yulo—who accuses San Jose of financially exploiting her son and contributing to family tensions—Carlos has publicly supported his girlfriend.

Moonstar88, which was established in Manila in 1999, consists of four members in its current lineup.
