Chinese billionaire heir and former EXO member Huang Zitao has confirmed his marriage registration with actress Xu Yiyang, his girlfriend of four years.

On Dec. 2, Huang shared the news on social media, writing, "The goal has been achieved," while Xu expressed her excitement, saying, "I’ve always wanted a serious relationship with marriage as the goal from the very start."

The couple's fans celebrated the announcement, flooding their posts with congratulatory messages.

According to Sina, the couple began secretly dating in 2020 before officially making their relationship public in July 2024.

During a livestream on Nov. 3, Huang revealed that their wedding is scheduled for next year, with three tables reserved specifically for both of their fans, according to Znews, citing QQ.

In August, Huang proposed to Xu with an elaborate display featuring a castle made of pink roses, captured in a video shown on an episode of his variety show "Dare or Not" on Youku.

In the video, Huang expressed, "Ever since you entered my life and chose to stay, I knew you were the one. I hope you'll be the person who walks with me through life."

He continued, "Every moment of this lifetime, the one I want is you. I dare to marry you; do you dare to accept?"

Overwhelmed with emotion, Xu tearfully responded, "I dare!" and accepted his proposal.

The two, with Huang now 31 and Xu 28, are said to have first met at SM Entertainment in South Korea, where Xu was a trainee and Huang was a member of EXO.

Huang left EXO in 2015 due to health concerns and returned to China, where he established his own agency, L.TAO Entertainment, in 2018.

According to the South China Morning Post, Huang inherited a $3 billion fortune from his father, Huang Zhongdong, one of China’s wealthiest men who passed away in 2020.

Xu, on the other hand, left SM Entertainment in 2018 and returned to China to further her career, eventually signing with L.TAO Entertainment as a singer.
