According to Thairath, he died peacefully surrounded by his parents, sister, and wife, Daria Shevruk. His funeral is being held at Wat That Thong Temple in Bangkok, with traditional Buddhist rituals lasting for almost a week. The cremation service is scheduled for Sept. 28 at 3 p.m.

Akkaphan was diagnosed with a heart tumor in October 2022. He underwent five rounds of chemotherapy and a major surgery in early 2023. However, two small tumors were later discovered in his lungs, forcing him to step down from the television series "Roy Rak Roi Sin" as his health worsened.
According to Sanook, Akkaphan’s condition briefly improved, allowing him to eat well and exercise, sparking hopes for his return to acting. In a message to fans, he expressed his desire to reunite with them. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated in recent months, causing him great pain.
Numerous Thai celebrities have paid tribute to Akkaphan on social media, sharing memories of working with him and offering condolences to his family.
Akkaphan graduated from the Faculty of Communication Arts at Bangkok University and began his acting career with Channel 3 before moving to Channel 7.
He won the Golden TV Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "The Moon with Tiger Stripes" and later starred in hit series such as "Hitech Maid", "Dual Verses", and "Beloved Navy," gaining widespread recognition for his role in "Thaviphop."
