According to Chosun Biz, Chinese media outlets have cited sources close to DJ Koo, revealing that he has been "crying every day," with visibly swollen eyes and burdened by deep sadness.

"His eyes are severely swollen from excessive crying, yet he hasn’t been able to receive proper treatment," one associate said, as quoted by Malaysian news outlet Hype.

These sources further shared that DJ Koo has often been unable to hold back tears when talking about his late wife.

Hsu—widely known for her roles in popular series such as "Meteor Garden," "Mars," and "Summer’s Desire"—passed away at 49 in Japan due to pneumonia-related complications, her family announced on Feb. 3.

The relationship between Hsu and DJ Koo first made headlines in 1998 when they met during DJ Koo’s promotional visit to Taiwan and his appearance on "100% Entertainment," which was hosted by Hsu and her younger sister, Taiwanese host Dee Hsu.

Their relationship paused in 2000 due to a dating ban imposed by DJ Koo’s management agency, but they rekindled their romance after Hsu’s divorce from Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2021, marrying in Feb. 2022.
