Actress Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband celebrates birthday on yacht with 18-year-younger wife

According to Sinchew, the late-June party, held on his family’s yacht, was attended by friends and relatives. During the event, Wang made three wishes: for career success, good health, and the hope of soon having a son, which amused the attendees.

Wang showed continual affection for Mandy throughout the celebration. He hugged her, placed his hand on her shoulder, and shared joyful conversations. Mandy reciprocated by holding Wang’s hand, laughing, talking, helping cut the cake, and blowing out the candles with him.

Businesswoman Zhang Lan, Wang’s mother, also celebrated the occasion by posting a congratulatory video on her social media. In the video, she appears with her son and daughter-in-law, sharing warm interactions. Zhang praised Mandy as a "pistachio," a term which translates to "the happy fruit" in Chinese, for bringing joy to the family. Mandy showed respect by feeding her mother-in-law cake with both hands.

The relationship between Wang and his ex-wife Hsu has reportedly eased, as the actress allowed her ex-husband to take their two children to Okinawa, Japan on his honeymoon with Mandy. A social media video shows Wang’s daughter bonding with her new stepmother.

Sohu reports that Wang met Mandy, a businesswoman, through mutual acquaintances last year. The couple registered their marriage on May 27 in Shanghai. Although Mandy was previously married and has no children, Wang stated that her past is of no concern to him, and he values how she treats him and his children.

Wang credits Mandy with bringing significant purpose to his life, highlighting her authenticity and love for simple pleasures such as dining at street food stalls and traveling extensively. Since their relationship began, he has cut down on drinking and improved his speech control, he said.

Wang’s housekeeper commended Mandy for her beauty, gentleness, and kindness.

Wang was married to Hsu, 48, in 2011 and they divorced in 2021. They share two children.

Hsu is well-known for her roles in television series like "Meteor Garden," "Mars," and "Summer’s Desire." She remarried DJ Koo, 55, three months after separating from Wang. DJ Koo has since relocated to Taiwan to be with Hsu and her children.

Last year, Hsu initiated legal proceedings against Wang and his mother, accusing them of defamation and revealing private information. The former couple has been embroiled in legal disputes since then.
